11 Months Old

We did the obligatory "month picture on the chair" and it was even harder than last month. I didn't think that was possible, but it sure was. He was a ham but he was all over the place. He dove off the chair more than once and enjoy pissing me off. Of course Daddy was there to encourage him. My baby will be 1 in just one short month. We had a great day for his 11 month birthday. Lunch at Panera (he ate an entire grilled cheese, yikes!), playing in the yard, a ride in the Mustang with Macy, all the fun stuff!

Pictures from the last few days

We spent a lot of time outside this weekend and Brady loved it! He was all over the place and had some toys out there too. Here he is playing with his big blue ball.

We found out that Brady likes going for a ride in the basket part of the stroller. I found this out after he walked the the end of the development and was too tired to walk back himself, so I stuck him in the bottom and he giggled the whole walk back.

Someone found the doggie door, uh oh!! He spent some time popping the door open and dropping his toys out the door and waving to the dogs. I am hoping he doesn't figure out that his head fits though, but I am sure it won't be long.

Happy Easter

We traveled to New York to celebrate Brady's First Easter. He had a great visit!

We went to Aunt Sue's for Easter dinner and Brady quickly found all the not-for-baby decorations. All he wants to do is bang on things to see how much noise he can make.

Adrianna was dressing Brady up as a sparkly pirate.

Then he was dressed up as Samuel L Jackson. He looked pretty fly in his scarf and hat. Brady sure is lucky he doesn't have a big sister or this would be a regular activity at our house.

There is this lookout place in VT that I always want to stop and see. But something always happens that means we can't stop, sleeping baby, fog, running late. So today we stopped because Brady was awake and happy. It was 32 degrees and freezing. I could see my breath. I guess we will try again next month when we make that trip again.

Good thing carseats have straps

Yesterday we were actually early for our climbing group and it was raining out so we got an ice cream cone and sat in the car and ate it. I unhooked his straps and he was immediately turned around surfing on his seat. He thought he was pretty funny. It wasn't so funny when we left group and he didn't want to get strapped in, he just wanted to surf and stand.


"Gimme a lick Mom, I love Dairy Queen ice cream cones. This is our 2nd one in a week!"

Licking his fingers since he insisted on touching the ice cream multiple times.

"This is a much better view than that riding backwards stuff."

Hoppy Easter

I tried taking some Easter pictures today and he was totally not having it. I got a few decent ones but not like I was hoping. Enjoy!

Just some pics

It's been a while since I uploaded some pictures. Here are some random pictures from the past week. I still haven't been able to catch our Brady Boy walking on video. He doesn't like to perform for the video camera I guess. Hopefully soon I will catch that for everyone to see. For those of you that don't know, Brady took his first steps on Wednesday. He has done it a few times since then but never when I have my camera out. He has also been very into climbing things, like end tables and baby gates. I am thinking he will need a tent to go over his crib so he doesn't climb out. He also has been ordering from the children's menu when we go out to eat. Last night he had mac and cheese and today he had a Chipotle quesadilla. I can't believe how big he is getting.


The other day we went to the park, but it was freezing and we didn't stay long. He loves the swings and I wish we had a tree to hang a swing from. The only trees we have are in tick land so that's a no go.

Crazy face!

Brady's newfound interest is balloons. I am thinking of getting him a helium tank for his birthday, he would totally love it. Do you think they sell them at Target? I doubt it. He carried this balloon around for days.




Here is the reason we recently adult-proofed our cabinets. He has his own drawer full of goodies, a big calculator, plastic lids, packing tape, bottle of vitamins, etc. but still loves playing in the naughty cabinets. This is now locked, which was a huge task in and of itself. I totally get why people pay other people to baby proof.

I now have a "helper" to help with loading and unloading the dishwasher. Not exactly the help I want, but he works for cheap.
