Art Class pics

I took a few pictures on Wednesday at art class that I couldn't just not share.

This one is my absolute favorite.  This is Aubrey.  Brady loves her, like really loves her.  He talks about her all week all day long.  Aubrey Aubrey Aubrey is what I hear.  Aubrey made Brady a valentine and this is her giving it to Brady.  They were both totally unsure why we were forcing them to interact.  It was adorable.

 

And of course puppy dog pics.  No lie, he walks right in each week and finds this grubby dog and lugs him around the whole time.

  

  

And lastly, silly pics on the pirate ship.  He wasn't totally sure how to use the telescope.  He kept putting up to his mouth and forehead.

Trip to the Aquarium

Yesterday I was afraid I would lose my mind if we sat in the house for another day so we packed up and went to the Aquarium in Boston.  It was a weekday so it wasn't too crowded which was great for Brady to be able to run and burn off all his energy.  He ran from one end to the other and back again.  Its nearly impossible to take good pictures in there so that's why this one is so crappy but I thought it was cute.  He was so excited to see the penguins.

Brrr...... its chilly out

We have been trying to go outside whenever we can.  We made it out there this afternoon.  It looked way nicer out than it really was.  It was super windy but that didn't stop Brady.

I am going to totally brag about myself

So, I have always wanted to learn to sew.  My Nan sewed everything my whole life and I can't believe I never asked her to teach me.  When I was home for Christmas Nan gave me a sewing machine she has had for a few years (Its from 1987 to be exact).  I shamefully admit it has been sitting in the bottom of the dining room closet since then.  Today I decided to get it out and try while my boys were napping.  I can't believe it, I was able to understand the instruction booklet.  Holy crap!!  So tonight I went out to get some materials to make felt food, which is something I have been bookmarking on my computer to try once I learned to sew.  Here are my creations for tonight:

Obviously it was a breakfast theme I was going for tonight.  What do you think??

 

I just google searched felt food and guesstimated how to make them.  I think they look as realistic as felt food can look made by a first-timer.

Just a few random pics

Last weekend Grandpa was here for a quick overnight trip.  He always brings food samples and this time it was cookies.  Here is Brady enjoying a "googie" after lunch the other day.







These pictures are from art class the other day.  Every week when we get there we have time to play before class.  As soon as I take his coat off he runs to find his puppy.  He carries this dog around with him the entire time he plays, which can be almost 2 hours some weeks.  There is a pretend vet area so he "fixes" his puppy and weighs it in the produce scale.  There is also a dog dish that he carries around and sticks the puppies face into, I assume he learned this by watching our dogs.  He has been caught drinking out of the dog dish a few times, VOMIT!!!





Making pizzas in the "oven".  There is a black light in there so it seems like a real oven.  He kept sticking his hands in there saying "hot" and blowing on his fingers.






I love the staticy hair!!  But I took him for a haircut this afternoon and its MUCH shorter now so I don't think it will stand up quite as much, which makes me almost cry a little.  But don't tell anyone.

Brady and the conversation hearts

I wanted to take pictures of this jar of candies for my class.  My trusty assistant decided to "help" me by taste testing them for me.  What a great helper I have.

 

He was so thrilled to finally get his hands on this jar, it had been teasing him for a week sitting on the counter.

  

  

  

 

10 for Tuesday

I am going to attempt to do the 10 for Tuesday post again.  Hopefully I can come up with 10 random happenings currently in Bradyville.

1.  He has starting resting his head on his hands while coloring.  It happens more often than not and so adorable.  Like he is thinking really hard while coloring.

2.   He now licks his fingers clean during a meal which is both cute and gross.

3.  He thinks farts are hysterical.  Someday really soon I am going to have to pretend I don't find it hysterical too.  I am not looking forward to that day.

4.  He can go up and down the steps all by himself.  Sometimes he goes upstairs on his own and empties everything out of his crib (I am still not sure how the hell he gets everything out, I can barely reach some things) and then lays on the floor pretending to sleep.

5.  He says hi and bye like a valley girl.  He will lay down in front of the dog bed and say Hiiiyyyyeeee over and over again to the dogs.

6.  He says Bow ey and Mam mi for Maddux and Zoe.

7.  We use cloth napkins in this house, mostly because its part of my personal quest to save the earth.  Well, we hang our napkins over the back of our chairs after each meal.  Since he has started sitting in our chairs to eat when Jim isn't home he likes using our napkins at the table to wipe his face clean.  Its more like dabbing his face clean.  Seriously funny stuff.

8.  He feeds himself with a fork and spoon 100% of the time.  Mostly I am very proud of him for being able to do this but sometimes its just painful to watch.  Last week we had corn for dinner and watching his stab and eat individual pieces of corn made me twitch.  It takes everything in my power not to take over and do it for him.

9.  He now pretends to eat his play food, by smacking his lips.  He pretends to drink by say glug glug.  Everyday I spend more time than I care to admit licking a butter stick and pretending to drink ice cream.  I am planning on getting him more food sometime soon, probably in his easter basket, because if he makes me pretend to eat corn on the cob or frozen veggies one more time I am going to hide them.

10.  I am amazed at the words he can say now.  The other day he strung 4 words together, he said "all gone, more juice"  which sounds more like " gall gone, mo jews".  Haha, he cracks me up.  When we get dressed to leave the house he says socks, shoes, coat (kinda sounds like goat), and hat.  Another funny thing he says is Mom.  He says it over and over again all day.  His newest game is he will go into another room and yell Mom over and over again until I say Brady.  Repeat game 93847 times in a day.

More Dora stories

It may seem like he watches a lot of Dora, and honestly he does.  He gets bored of other shows after a few minutes.  Dora is his latest favorite show, before her it was Yo Gabba Gabba and I am happy to get a break from that drug induced coma.  Anyway, here are more funny Dora stories.

Yesterday Dora asked "how will we get across the pond?"  and he said "boat."  I didn't even know he could say boat.

Today Dora asked us to check her backpack for something to fill with water and he yelled out "backpack".

Then Dora said if the clam closes I need you to say Abre (which is open in english) to open it up.  Well if that clam didn't close up and he yells out Abre.  This deserves a holy shit from me, not only was I not aware that he knew words in English, he can also say spanish words?????  Seriously??  And he  also understands when Dora is asking and when he is supposed to answer.  I swear if I wasn't here to witness this I would not believe these stories.

And they must ask the same map question because as I am typing this he yells out "map" at the right time.

What a funny little kid.  I like to write these funny stories down so I don't forget and I figured I would write them here so everyone could enjoy them.
