Kaleidoscope Children's Museum

Yesterday we used free museum passes from the library to try out a new museum in Manchester.  It was in an old mill building and was very pretty and open and bright.  The boys had a great time.

Probably his favorite part, the drums.  We are screwed.  He loves loud musical instruments.

Afterwards we went to visit Daddy since we were in Manchester.

Leftovers from the pumpkin festival

Here are a few leftover from last weekend's Pumpkin Festival.  Here is Brady with the Red Arrow Mug.  The Red Arrow is the diner in town that we love!

He was not thrilled with the Fire Dog.  He was clinging to me like a spider monkey.

Fall Friday Fun

Today Brady and I went on a walk in the woods to collect leaves for a craft idea I found.  He thought he was hot stuff walking around like a big boy.  On the way there we had to stop and visit with the big digger.

On our way into the woods.  I couldn't take pictures while we were in there because the ground was super rocky and hard for him to walk.

 

 

This kid will hear an airplane coming from miles away.  He kept hearing them but it was so cloudy he couldn't see them.  Poor kid kept looking and pointing and saying "ooohhh".

 

Last minute leaf find.  He all of a sudden starting walking back into the woods along the sidewalk.  I guess he spotted the perfect leaf.

The crafy was pressing the leaves onto contact paper like a glueless collage.  I expected it to go as well as any other planned activity has gone.  But he actually seemed to enjoy this and spent way more time doing this than anything else.  The contact paper wasn't as sticky as I would have liked so the curled leaves wouldn't stick and when they would fall off he would say "uh, oh" over and over again.  It was so freaking cute.

Finished product, I said "cheese" and he made this face.  How funny is his cheese face?

 

Tonight was the start of the Milford Pumpkin Festival.  Unfortunately it was a cold rainy night but we still headed out for the fun.

Our Annual Foliage Trip

We took our annual foliage trip today up north.  It wasn't looking too promising on the way up but ended up being a beautiful day.  We spent at least 5 hours in the car today and Brady was such a good boy.  Brace yourself, there are going to be too many pictures in this post, I couldn't decide.

Before we left looking too much like his father.  It was almost sickening.  He looked like such a big boy.  And yes, he is holding a jar of veggies.  He insists on grabbing stuff of the shelf in the pantry and carrying it around.

Last year when we took this trip Brady was about 4 months old.  We drove past this waterfall and I really wanted to get out but we thought Brady was too small.  So today we went because I am still pissed we missed out last year.  It was beautiful and I am so glad we stopped.

Then we stopped here.  Boy, did that kid want to jump right in that water.

 

Of course he had to throw some rocks in the pond.

 

This was from my favorite spot last year.  It is on a road that is actually closed all winter.  How crazy is that?  We were able to have a nice visit with 2 golden retreivers and some motorcycles.  It made it slightly entertaining for Brady since there was no room for him to run.

We found out that we get the best pictures when we use the timer setting.  I guess he is interested in the beeping and flashing, go figure.

Another timer picture, I can't believe it works to get him to look at the camera.  But I can stand there dancing and singing and waving my arms and he doesn't even glance my way.
