Marshmallow Snowmen

Today we tried making marshmallow snowmen.  It was a good idea in theory, but I didn't think it through and it wasn't a success.  I didn't buy the tiny marshmallows like I should have and I didn't have glue like I should have, but we tried it anyway.  I used melted marshmallows for the glue which was a total pain in the butt and smelled burnt.   When we were all done we enjoyed a few.  Well I enjoyed them, he just let them slip in and out of his mouth like slimy worms.  His faces were hysterical.

Now, I don't want anyone to think life with Brady is just all fun and games.  A good bit of our days involve whining, crying, and temper tantrums.  I look forward to when he can actually talk and be reasoned with, because this whining shit is for the birds.  Here are the pictures to prove it.  I swear, he is like a 13 year old girl sometimes with all the attitude he has.

And then miraculously he is right back to happy and smiley.  I just wish he would stay happy and smiley all day.  But I guess life isn't that easy.

My new lightscoop

I got another fun add on for my camera, its called a lightscoop.  Basically its a cheap way to get good light without spending 500 bucks.  Its a mirror that makes the flash not shine right out straight.  It came yesterday so I tried it out, I love it!!  Makes taking pictures easier in the house.  Which means now I can take pictures in other places than right in front of the slider in the kitchen, which is the only place on the first floor that gets any light.  Our house is basically a cave in the winter.

Anyway, here are the tryout pics:

And lastly, these two.  It came while Brady was napping so I wanted to try it out right away and couldn't wait for Brady to get up.  I figured they wouldn't mind being my photo subjects, at least its attention.

Just a few

Apparently Brady is a nudist in the making.  This kid would seriously rather be in just a diaper.  He doesn't like wearing shoes and socks, but will in public.  Here is my nudist this morning getting ready to have his hair cut.  As soon as we took his shirt off he wanted his pants and diaper off too.  Silly boy.

I guess you can see where he gets it from.  They were dancing with their shirts off and Brady needed to be more free.

We went to Boston today.  Here is Brady at lunch, CPK, who doesn't love that place?

And this is from the Science Museum.  He was pooped from running around every square inch of the place.

Watching the big ball machine.

These pics are a few days late.  We have signed up for an art class on Wednesdays.  Here is my little Picasso. Not a fan of the smock, but I snuck it on him when he wasn't paying attention.  Within 10 seconds of the start of the class he promptly painted his shirt, pants, and then sneakers.  Looks like the girl on the phone lied to me, she said the first class isn't messy.  Next week we will be dressing in messy clothes.

Happy Sad, Happy Sad

I am doing an online photo lesson and I was practicing during lunch today.  He went from happy to sad and back to happy again and again.  Poor kid being subjected to having his picture taken.

Happily eating his veggie burger.

And now quite sad.  I think this is my new favorite picture.

Happy again.  I also like this picture.  He has huge tears on his face but is also sporting a huge smile.  Love him!!

Getting upset yet again.  Probably because his chocolate was gone.

Poor Baby Doll

Brady got a baby doll for Christmas.  Baby is growing on Brady.  At first he wouldn't even touch the doll and now he will touch and hold the baby.  Tonight I caught him sitting on the couch watching a show while holding the doll.  Of course by the time I got my camera out he was already on the move.  Poor baby wasn't treated so delicately.

He looks sweet, right?

Nope, he is in the process of slamming baby down to the couch.

And........ then I guess he felt the need to drop him to the ground....

and then step on him.  We are working on delicate, I guess that lesson isn't working.

Sledding Fun

I have been on a hunt for a plastic toddler sled for Brady.  Every store I called or went to were out of them for the season, and I called and went to over 15 stores.  Well one lady I talked to told me she saw some at Market Basket (a grocery store).  I ran out last night and we are now the proud owners of a cheap plastic infant toboggan. Here is Brady trying it out in the house last night.

And of course a video to go along with INDOOR SLEDDING VIDEO.

And then this morning I took him outside to try it out.  He loved it!  Luckily he did love it because it was more exercise than I have had in years and I was hurting.

We went to the back yard to go down the hill so Zoe was able to get in on the action.

After I couldn't take anymore we played with trucks.

Then we took a walk.

Of course it wouldn't be an outing with Brady without a tanrum.

Butt sledding down the hill at the end of our yard.
