Christmas Trees and Tantrums

Today went to visit the christmas trees at a local farm.  I thought Brady would enjoy getting out and running free.  He enjoyed parts of it, like 8% maybe.  Not his favorite adventure by any means.  It was cold and the wind was going at like 830mph and of course he wasn't interested in wearing a hat.  There were lots of pictures taken so get ready for a Brady overload.

First attempt at making him wear a hat.  So far so good, right?

Nope, that's tantrum numero uno.

Much better now with no hat on.

Looking at the cute baby trees with Dad.

Now he was really getting into it.

And now its tantrum time again.  "Take this hat off of me or else."

"I told you to take my hat off, now I shall lay in the field and scream bloody murder."

"So, since you ignored my pleas I will run away.  I'll show you."

"Oh crap, I lost a shoe."

"So I will just sit and cry about it."

And for my last attempt at a cute picture....... more tears, I know you are so surprised, right?

Happy in the car on the way home.  I bet you are so jealous you couldn't hang out with our angry little elf today?  No angry elves were harmed in this adventure.

Thanksgiving 2009

We celebrated Thanksgiving in NY yesterday and had a great time.  Here are some pics from the day.  And his adorable shirt, yeah I made it.  I am a superstar (with some help on the sewing machine from my friend Amanda).

Yep, he is wearing high heels.  Someday this kid is going to hate me.

Playing with his new trucks.  Vroooommm!

"Hands off Uncle Jacob!  Those are my trucks."

Hugs.

Daddy's Day Off

Jim took last Friday off and we headed out to a children's museum on the seacoast.  We had a good time but not as fun as Brady had.

Here is a video of Brady driving the submarine (actually taken by Jim).  CLICK HERE

Hanging out in the pantry thinking he was very funny.

Talking on the phone with Rachel.

Working as his desk.

Gymnastics Class

Brady and I have been going to an open gym time at a gymnastics center.  Its the perfect setup for a clumsy toddler who loves to climb, run, and jump.  He can run free and I don't worry about him busting his head open.  This week the boys loved playing with the hoola hoops.  And the pictures are terrible because the florescent lighting totally confuses my camera.

The foam block pit.  Last week he wanted nothing to do with it and this week Brady was very brave and climbed right in.

"Mom, this seemed like a good idea but now I am stuck, HELP!"

And a video montage from class.   CLICK HERE

Then we went to try a new park.  It was awesome.  Although not as safe as the gym, as Brady fell backwards off the climbing structure and hit his head.

A Few Extra Pics

Tonight I am trying to play catch up with my pictures.  Here are a few random ones from the last weekish.

I don't want anyone to think that Brady is all happy and smiley all the time.  He throws tantrums that involve kicking, hitting, banging his head, and of course tears and screaming.  Here is one from Saturday.  I just laugh, he tries so hard to show me how pissed he is.

Now that he sits at the table he likes to put his feet up like he owns the joint.

The scavengers looking for a morsel of food to fall, not likely since that was a fig newton.

Last week our craft was Thanksgiving cards for the grandparents.  Considering he hates having paint on his hands, the finished product turned out cute if I do say so myself.  I am not sure why yelling is part of all of our activities.  Notice the red on his tongue.  Not blood but paint.  He licked the paintbrush, ewwww!

He surprisingly touched it with his hands.

Finished product!!
