Sitting Pretty

Here is Brady practicing his sitting this morning. He is getting much better, but he would still rather be laying. We put him in sitting position and he won't bend. Oh well!! He is just so happy and cute I could eat him up!

Ho Ho Ho

We took Brady for his picture with Santa today to avoid the crowds after Thanksgiving. Santa was super nice and Brady only cried at the very end. It was tough to get his attention in the middle of the mall but they turned out OK.

This was us before we left the house. He looked like a little lumberjack. Soooooo cute!

Here is Brady at the doctors (yet again) the other day. He is now on steroids to help his breathing and coughing issues. They smell awful so they must taste awful because it is painful trying to get him to take the meds. I can't tell yet if they are helping but the nighttime coughing is getting better. And sadly, this was the last size 2 diaper he will ever wear. I was sad! It was roaming around in the diaper bag and Jim found it this night. My baby is getting too big too fast!

Another day with Brady Boy

Here are some random pictures I have taken in the last few days.

"Wait, let me get this straight. You are only feeding me these prunes to make me poop? Seriously? I will show you!"

Here is fatty hanging out in his highchair. Look how high those pants come up, practically up to his nipples.

Today was tried out a restaurant highchair. He did great. He was right there being nosey and trying to grab stuff off the table.

I was trying to read the paper and he started to squawk so I gave him a section of the paper. It held his attention longer than it holds his father's attention.

Poor Brady Boy

Poor Brady Boy is sick. He has been coughing terribly so we went to the doctors this morning. He has bronchiolitis and needs nebulizer treatments. After his first treatment he sounded so much better. He hasn't been sleeping well at night and is so uncomfortable so I am glad we have something we can do to help the poor little guy. On a lighter note or maybe I should say heavier.... Brady weighs a whopping 17lbs 5oz now. I love my fat thunder thigh baby.

Here he is before his appointment playing with the beads, he loves these things. Anytime we see one he just stares at it and loves watching the beads move around.

Here he is getting his first treatment. He screamed the whole time, it was so sad. I don't think it was so much that he hated the treatment, it was more because we had been in the little room for an hour and he was missing a nap. Poor baby!!

And now 3 random pics:

Brady eating peas for the first time. I almost threw up when I made them the other night but he seemed to like them. I enjoyed telling him the story of how when I turned 16 I was allowed to stop eating peas. I hated them and would hold my nose and make a big scene, I know can you even imagine me making a scene!! I decided that once I was old enough to drive a car, I could choose what vegetables I would eat. Well this kid likes them for now, so we are good.

And lastly, Brady eats his feet, YUM!

Rock the Vote

Brady and I voted today, obviously, and here he is showing off his sticker.

More food pics

Today we tried bananas. They were a bust at breakfast time but were tolerated at dinner time. Here he is after his first bite, he still isn't sure.

OK, I am sure Mom.... I hate them!!!

Brady holding his spoon, which had no food on it and had been cleaned off, but he didn't know and enjoyed waving it around.

Here is Brady and his dad practicing crawling. That is Brady's flirting face that he is doing to the dog. He hasn't figured out who he should flirt with exactly.

Here are two videos from today. The first one is him eating bananas which included him gagging in case that is not something you want to see. The second video is literally 30 seconds of him "talking" to his spoon. It may only be cute in my mind, so don't watch if spoon talking isn't your thing.

Avocado is a bust

Well, avocado was a total bust. I was excited because I love it and thought it was a great excuse to keep them in the house. Not so much!

Here is his first bite of it, already not sure. But I figured keep trying because it is new.

So when he spit it out I thought to try another spoonful, and this is what happened....

Which was then followed by projectile vomit all over himself and me. Yuck. I couldn't imagine what would make him throw it up. I get maybe spitting it out, but vomit.... come on!! So before I threw it out I thought I would taste it. I gagged, it was disgusting. I think maybe it wasn't ripe enough. Whatever it was, it was nasty. I don't think I will be trying that again for a long while if ever.

This is him spitting out any remaining pieces in his mouth.

Oh that's better Mom, I like applesauce and squash! (not mixed together)

All done! No more avocado for this baby.

Big Boys Ride in the Cart

Today was the first time Brady rode in the cart at the supermarket. I don't know why I didn't try this earlier, it was so easy and he was ready. He sat in the cart flirting with everyone around him, even a stock boy stocking Gatorade. The cart cover thing is awesome, but it did take me about 10 minutes in the parking lot trying to figure out how it goes. I guess reading the directions would have helped things. I can't believe how big he is getting. We are starting avocado today and peas are next. He is sitting unassisted now, but only for like 10 seconds. It's still a start. The time change was not my favorite part of the fall season, that's for sure. He is ready for bed at like 5 and wakes up too early to even know what time it is. Ugh! Hopefully he will get back onto a reasonable schedule in the next week or so, otherwise I am leaving to join the circus.

Here he is holding our number for the deli counter.

Heading to the car, almost done.

And DONE!!!!

Dear Santa

Brady got the Fisher Price catalog in the mail today. I remember when we used to get the Sear's wish book when I was little and I would flip through and dream of what I was going to get for Christmas. Here is Brady checking out what he wants. This kid loves looking through the mail.

Halloween 2008

Here are our Halloween pictures from last night. We went for dinner at our friend's house and took a few with Brady's friend Ryland and his dad Dave. Dave is a good sport for wearing a costume. Jim says, "Look at this big dork!"

Ryland is pissed and Brady looks drunk. But it was the best picture I got of the two of them. Oh well, there is always next year.

Here is Brady helping give out the candy. The beer was his, he was thirsty.

He was such a good candy helper, he smiled at everyone and soaked his costume in under an hour.
