Lounging around
Here is Brady drinking his bottle with his fan club. They won't miss an opportunity to lap up the leftovers.

"Not the camera again, Mom!"
That guilty look is because he was just in the pantry playing with the filthy dog dishes and laughing at himself. He thinks he is so funny. I love how he will take off crawling somewhere he shouldn't go (like the pantry) and look back to make sure you are paying attention. Silly boy!
Playdate
On Friday we had a playdate here at our house. Brady loved having the other babies here. Here is Joaquin, Brady, Lila, and Colby.

Oh Lila, I love you!
When the puffs came out, it was like feeding the pigeons at the beach. They were swarming Michelle and couldn't get enough.

Another snow day
We had yet another snow day, I know big surprise! So again we were stuck in the house. Brady explored some new places in the house, one of them being the front entryway.
Here he is watching the snow fall, and fall, and fall some more.
I just thought this picture was funny. It's like "Any boogers Mom?"
Silly baby.
Waiting for Daddy to come back home.
Mimicking the dogs by licking the window. Luckily it has been cleaned recently and he is slightly taller than the dogs so I hope he wasn't licking snot off the window.

After playing at the front door for a while he found the dog crates for the first time. This was quite exciting for Brady, but Maddux and Zoe were wondering why he was in their space. I had to quickly get the vacuum out to clean up that area since it is a dog hair collection spot full of hair-tumbleweeds.

Daddy's Away
Jim is away at a work trip and I had pretty much run out of entertainment for my dear Brady Boy and found that he thought this was the funniest thing I have ever done. He was so tired at this point, so I am sure that made him slightly delirious, but it worked! And no need to worry, they are the lightest plastic balls that weigh practically nothing.
We also tried Pastina. One word..... FAIL. I swear this kid is going to be eating pureed food until he is 12. This is the initial reaction:
This is after the projectile vomit. Notice the Pastina up his nose. I couldn't resist taking these pictures. I am pretty sure he hated me at this point.
All cleaned up and much happier.
Today we were out shopping and the boys had to try out this baseball chair. How cool is this thing? They also had a baseball bat head and footboard that was awesome.
"So Mom, can I have it?"

Playing Catch Up
I have a few pictures from the last few days that I wanted to post. Mostly I just wanted to take a moment to realize how things change so quickly. In just the month of January (so far) he has learned to army crawl, got a 5th tooth, regular crawl, pull up and stand, and get himself into a sitting position from crawling. I know I have said it like 9 million times, but I can't believe my baby is getting so big. Just last weekend my wonderful husband was giving me a hard time because I was so upset that Brady is getting so big and I am not ready for him to not be a baby anymore. Well tonight Jim was saying the same thing. I reminded him of the wonderful advice he gave me last weekend, "He is growing up, get over it!" Nice huh?
Here is Brady with his girlfriend Vera at Mom's group.

Here is Brady and Vera at water babies this weekend. Jim was in charge of the pictures and the sun was messing with the light and so the pictures didn't turn out well. This is the only decent picture and I am sure it is hard to see.
We had a playdate on Friday with 2 other babies. Brady loves going to other houses because the toys are all new to him. Just in case you were confused, that is not Brady with the pigtails. He is the bald kid with the striped sweatshirt.

No more baby bulldog
Finally, Brady cut his 5th tooth. It is his first top tooth so no more baby bulldog! Teething has been HORRIBLE and I swore people exaggerated how bad it was until this session of tooth cutting. His first 4 came in with no warnings or whinings. This 1 almost caused me to join the circus! Anyway, here is to hoping it is smooth sailing from here.
Well Zoe has some serious ulcer on her eye and is on crazy eye drops. This means Brady and Zoe have to be kept away from each other, which isn't fun for either one of them. They are truely best friends. The one eye drop could cause renal failure for Brady if exposed and the eye ointment could cause his heart to race. It causes Zoe's mouth to foam, so I don't want to think of what it would do to Brady. It was heartbreaking to watch them look at each other through the gate. I tried keeping him very entertained but I turned my back for a second and he pulled up on the gate and was "yelling" to her. Poor guy! Here he is at the gate.

On a lighter note, we went to Mom's group today to get out for a bit. Here he is hanging out with his friends. This "toy" was quite fascinating to them. It is a water bottle with rice in it. I love how the free toys that are homemade are the best.

And lastly, a video of him pulling up on the fortress walls. Enjoy!

8 months old
My baby is 8 months old today. Where has the time gone. In the last month, Brady has learned to army crawl, crawl, and pull himself up and stand on things. I can't believe my little baby is getting so big. Taking these pictures is getting harder each month and I was lucky that Jim was off from work today to help. He was whining within 2 seconds and spotted the sign immediately. Oh well.

Oh crap, he spotted it!
Try again Dad!
He proceeded to give himself a paper cut on his nose. Silly boy!
"You can't fool me, I saw you put it on the other side of the chair!"
"But I want to hold the sign Mom!"
Brady also had a date today with his friend Vera. Vera hung out with us for the morning. Brady was fascinated with Vera's hair, obviously because he is slightly jealous.
Brady's first boy/girl sleepover. This won't happen again until he is at least 29 years old. Look at his silly grin!

Sunday
Well we got dumped on again by the snow so we spent another day stuck in the house. Just a few random pictures. First one is Brady trying out his newest sippy cup with a straw. He loves drinking out of our drinks when we are out to eat so I thought he might like his own straw cup and he did, he loved it.
We have been working on 2 things: not surfing on the bouncey seat after eating and holding our own bottle. Here he is eating on the floor and trying to hold his own bottle. He can hold it well enough but realizes he is "free" and starts rolling away with the bottle hanging from his mouth. I end up having to hold him down a bit. I miss the straps and the bouncey seat!
We tried gating the dogs away from Brady today and it worked so well. They weren't thrilled but it was nice for Brady to have some space to roam. Although it ended up looking like a pre-school in here.
